Scope of Services

Forecast Interiors provides professional interior design services including space planning, material selection, furniture specification, color consultation, and design documentation. We do not provide architectural, engineering, or construction services.

Professional Boundaries

As interior designers, we work within specific professional boundaries:

• We do not manage construction crews or hire subcontractors on your behalf
• We provide design direction and can coordinate with your chosen contractors
• For work requiring licensed professionals (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), we provide referrals but you contract directly

Liability & Insurance

Forecast Interiors maintains professional liability insurance to protect both our business and our clients. Our insurance coverage includes:

• General liability for property damage or injury during site visits
• Coverage does not extend to contractor work or installation errors

We recommend all clients maintain appropriate homeowner's or commercial property insurance during design and construction phases.

Usage Restrictions

Without express written permission, clients may not:

• Reproduce designs for additional properties or locations
• Share Design Documents publicly on social media or websites
• Provide Design Documents to other designers or competitors
• Modify designs to create derivative works for commercial purposes
• Remove designer attribution or copyright notices from documents

Portfolio & Marketing Rights

Forecast Interiors reserves the right to photograph completed projects and use images for:

• Portfolio and website display
• Marketing materials and case studies
• Social media promotion
• Award submissions and industry publications
• Educational or speaking engagements

If you prefer privacy or have confidentiality concerns, please notify us in writing. We will respect your wishes and refrain from publishing your project.

Third-Party Materials

Design Documents may incorporate third-party materials (fabric swatches, product specifications, manufacturer drawings) that remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. Our license to use these materials is limited to design presentation and project implementation.

Photography & Image Usage

Project Photography

Upon project completion, Forecast Interiors may arrange professional photography of your space. Photography sessions will be scheduled at your convenience and with your advance approval.

Photo Release

By engaging our services, clients grant Forecast Interiors permission to:

• Photograph completed design work in your property
• Use project photos in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials
• Share images on social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn)
• Submit photos to design publications, blogs, and award competitions
• Credit the project with general location (e.g., "Lexington, KY") without disclosing your address

Privacy Protections

We take the following steps to protect client privacy:

• Remove or blur personal items, family photos, and identifying documents before publishing
• Do not disclose client names, full addresses, or sensitive information
• Respect requests to exclude specific rooms or areas from photography
• Obtain additional consent before publishing photos that show people

Opt-Out Rights

If you prefer complete privacy, you may opt out of photography and publication rights by providing written notice. We will respect your decision and maintain project confidentiality.
